Psithurism – The sound of rustling leaves or the wind in the trees. An adaptation of the Ancient Greek ψιθύρισμα (psithúrisma) or ψιθυρισμός (psithurismós), from ψιθυρίζω (psithurízō, “I whisper”), from ψίθυρος (psíthuros, “whispering, slanderous”).
